Get Active

Using activator poles can help improve or just maintain your general fitness, and develop your overall mobility, strength and balance.

The poles are suited for all levels and abilities and all classes are provided by a trained tutor.

Westmeath Sports Partnership regularly provides both indoor and outdoor classes throughout the county.

The exercise is obviously good for the body, but the social element of each programme also means the classes are an opportunity for participants to improve their mental health and develop new connections.

Activator Poles In Libraries

Westmeath Sports Partnership & Westmeath Libraries have come together to encourage people to Step Up Your Walk with Activator Poles!

A new scheme has been launched which will allow people loan out Activator Poles in local libraries across Co. Westmeath in association with Healthy Ireland Westmeath.

Activator poles are a fantastic way to add a boost to your regular walks. They help improve your overall fitness, mobility, strength and balance, making every step more rewarding.
