
Good2GO! WESTMEATH training is designed to enable attendees’ plan and lead periods of sociable, health-enhancing physical activity for older adults and adults with a disability.
It is suitable for: Active Age Groups, Men’s Sheds, Care Providers and Disability Service Providers.
The workshops are three hours in duration and the classes will include training on the following activities:
Short slots for Fitness explores short movement routines designed to enhance key components of functional fitness including mobility, flexibility, balance, strength and aerobic fitness. This will include seated routines.
Step to the Beat explores a series of short, simple, social folk dance from different parts of the world. Easy to learn-easy to teach.
Social target Games explores a number of simple, sociable, target games suitable for indoor venues ( e.g. Frisbee, Scooch, Boccia, Flisk).
Light Refreshments will be provided on each day. Please wear suitable footwear and comfortable/sports clothing.
We are currently accepting participants on two courses which will begin in November.
Good2Go! classes will take place at two locations: Mount Temple Community Hall, Mount Temple Village and Loughegar Community Hall – Clonkill GAA Club.
Mount Temple:

All 3 workshops will be held in Mount Temple Community Hall on the 20th, 27th November and 04th December from 10a.m sharp to 1.00p.m.
A tea break will be provided during each workshop.
Loughegar

All 3 workshops will be held in Loughegar Community Hall (Clonkill GAA Club) on the 22th, 29th November and 06th December from 10a.m sharp to 1.00p.m.
