FUNdamentals School Activity Programme

Fundamentals

Through our Sports Inclusion Programme, a FUNdamentals School Activity Programme is currently being implemented to Special Education Schools by Westmeath Sports Partnership.

The FUNdamentals programme consists of carefully designed activities that focus on developing physical literacy. As a result of this, children should begin to develop resilience, confidence and a love of physical activity.

The activities are not competitive. The key message is always about each young person developing physical literacy and improving their gross motor skills.

The programme encompasses a range of activities focusing on increasing students agility, balance and coordination and is tailored to suit the ability levels of the participating students.
