To celebrate Halloween 2023, Westmeath Sports Partnership invites you to the Hill of Uisneach to explore the sacred centre of Ireland, and immerse yourself in the culture, the history and mythology of Uisneach.

The event takes place on Saturday 28th October 2023, beginning at 12pm. The walk/tour will last approximately 1.5 hours. The distance is around 3km in total, and although is easy/moderate, it could possibly involve some rugged ground so some level of fitness will be required.

Please ensure appropriate footwear and clothing are worn as the walk will go ahead in most weather conditions, unless there is a weather warning.

The walk will be led by expert guides with some highlights including; the Royal Palace, Lough Lugh, St Patrick’s Bed (The Summit) and Ail na Mireann (Stone of the Divisions).

The cost per adult or youth aged over 12 is €5. Admission is FREE for under-12s but a ticket must still be purchased for them.

*Please note: the advised minimum age is 7 years old, but if there are any younger children than this attending the event please ensure they will be supervised by an adult.
