Westmeath Sports Partnership in conjunction with Gymnastics Ireland wishes to invite local primary school teachers to get involved with our new programme Gymstart.
This is a participation based gymnastics workshop, specifically tailored for Primary School Teachers and it is the perfect start to developing Gymnastics in your school. The programme is designed to develop and enhance teachers understanding, ability and confidence to teach gymnastics in a school setting, no previous experience is necessary.
The 4-hour practical workshop is the perfect introduction to all the basic fundamental gymnastic skills, including rolling, balancing, jumping and landing. The programme will also include acrobatic group work and hoop and ribbon skills.
Teacher Training for Gymstart takes place in Moate Community College on Thursday, January 19th and in Loughegar on Tuesday, January 24th.
