SUMMARY:Safeguarding 1 –  Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness
DESCRIPTION:All Coaches\, Club Children’s Officers (CCO) and Designated Liaison Persons (DLP) must first complete the 3 hour Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Workshop.   \nThis workshop educates participants on the implementation of best practice in safeguarding the welfare of children involved in sport.  \nThe online Safeguarding 1 Workshop is an interactive course which requires participants to have : \n\nGood internet connection to allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion.\nAccess to email – Zoom link and course materials will be sent out to participants prior to course date in word and PDF.\n\n\nTo gain accreditation\, it is essential to complete the whole course.\n\nPlease beware : \n\n\nThis course is for Over 18’s ONLY – MAXIMUM 2 persons per club/sports organisation.\n\n\n\nEach participant must have their own individual Zoom connection. Sharing connections is not an acceptable method of participating.\n\nThe online course will be delivered between 6.30pm -9.30pm via Zoom. Certificates of completion will be issued by post and participant details are subsequently registered with Sport Ireland’s National Database. SUMMARY:Pitch And Putt For Adults At Collinstown P&P Club
DESCRIPTION:Westmeath Sports Partnership is delighted to offer an opportunity for adults over the age of 40 to try Pitch And Putt in a relaxed and fun setting.  \nWe are offering a special six-week introductory programme for people to learn the basics of this fun and easy to learn sport at Collinstown Pitch and Putt Club. \nThe programme begins on April 30th and will continue on Tuesdays under the guidance of experienced and skilled members of Collinstown Pitch and Putt Club. \nWe can offer two different time sessions depending on the majority preference: 11am – 12pm or 6 – 7pm (choose one preference in registration). \nSessions will involve learning some skills followed by practicing some holes. \nThe good news is there is equipment that can be borrowed if you do not own your own equipment (clubs\, balls\, tees). \nWe are also offering tea/coffee/refreshments available after each session in clubhouse. \nThe six week programme costs €20 and you can register at the link: \nhttps://www.eventbrite.ie/e/pitch-and-putt-for-adults-in-collinstown-pp-club-registration-881936474737?aff=oddtdtcreator
