SUMMARY:Safeguarding 1 –  Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness
DESCRIPTION:All Coaches\, Club Children’s Officers (CCO) and Designated Liaison Persons (DLP) must first complete the 3 hour Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Workshop.  \nThis workshop educates participants on the implementation of best practice in safeguarding the welfare of children involved in sport. \nThe online Safeguarding 1 Workshop is an interactive course which requires participants to have : \n\nGood internet connection to allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion.\nAccess to email – Zoom link and course materials will be sent out to participants prior to course date in word and PDF.\n\n\nTo gain accreditation\, it is essential to complete the whole course.\n\nPlease beware : \n\nThis course is for Over 18’s ONLY – MAXIMUM 2 persons per club/sports organisation.\n\n\nEach participant must have their own individual Zoom connection. Sharing connections is not an acceptable method of participating.\n\nThe online course will be delivered between 6.30pm -9.30pm via Zoom. \nCertificates of completion will be issued by post and participant details are subsequently registered with Sport Ireland’s National Database. \nShould you require any further information on accessing the online safeguarding course feel free to contact Westmeath Sports Partnership on 044 93 90208 or email info@westmeathsports.ie.

DESCRIPTION:We want to hear from YOU! \nWestmeath County Council plan to develop a Regional Sports Complex in Mullingar.  It is envisaged that the complex cater for a wide range of mainstream and developing sports in the region and be inclusive for the whole community. \nBut we need your support. \nThe Local Authority is keen to engage with everyone to ascertain your views on the need to develop a Mullingar Regional Sport Complex. This early engagement will help shape design options\, which will then be subject to further public consultation in the coming months. \n#HAVEYOURSAY and meet members of the Design Team and Regeneration Project Team to discuss the proposed project at an our in-person consultation event on Tuesday 20th  from 3pm to 8pm in the Atrium of Council Offices\, Áras An Chontae\, Mount Street\, Mullingar\, Co.
