SUMMARY:good2Go Training - Loughegar
DESCRIPTION:Good2GO! WESTMEATH is designed to enable attendees’ plan and lead periods of sociable\, health-enhancing physical activity for older adults and adults with a disability.\n \nIt is suitable for: Active Age Groups\, Men’s Sheds\, Care Providers and Disability Service Providers. \n \nGood2Go! classes will take place  Loughegar Community Hall – Clonkill GAA Club. \n \nThe workshops are three hours in duration from 10am until 1pm. \n \nThe classes will include training on the following activities: \n \nShort slots for Fitness explores short movement routines designed to enhance key components of functional fitness including mobility\, flexibility\, balance\, strength and aerobic fitness. This will include seated routines. \n \nStep to the Beat explores a series of short\, simple\, social folk dance from different parts of the world. Easy to learn-easy to teach. \n \nSocial target Games explores a number of simple\, sociable\, target games suitable for indoor venues ( e.g. Frisbee\, Scooch\, Boccia\, Flisk). \n \nAttendee’s must be able to attend all 3 workshops. Light Refreshments will be provided on each day / Please wear suitable footwear and comfortable/sports clothing. \n \nA tea break will be provided during the workshop. \n \nThe course is free as it is kindly funded and supported by Healthy Ireland and Healthy Westmeath. (Participants will be required to complete a short pre and post-programme questionnaire regarding their physical activity levels). The pre questionnaire is built into registration. \n\nAll 3 workshops will be held in Loughegar Community Hall (Clonkill GAA Club) on the 22th\, 29th November and 06th December from 10a.m sharp to 1.00p.m. \n \nA tea break will be provided during each workshop. \n \nRegister for Loughegar here \n

DESCRIPTION:Safeguarding 1 –  Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness\nAll Coaches\, Club Children’s Officers (CCO) and Designated Liaison Persons (DLP) must first complete the 3 hour Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Workshop.  \nThis workshop educates participants on the implementation of best practice in safeguarding the welfare of children involved in sport \nThe online Safeguarding 1 Workshop is an interactive course which requires participants to have : \n\nGood internet connection to allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion\nAccess to email – Zoom link and course materials will be sent out to participants prior to course date in word and PDF.\n\n\nTo gain accreditation\, it is essential to complete the whole course\n\nPlease beware : \n\nThis course is for Over 18’s ONLY – MAXIMUM 2 persons per club/sports organisation\n\n\nEach participant must have their own individual Zoom connection.
