DESCRIPTION:THIS IS NOW SOLD OUT! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTHIS IS NOW SOLD OUT! \n\n\n\nWomen on Wheels is programme for women looking to begin or return to cycling. The focus of the programme is on learning\, meeting new people with the group cycle a prominent feature. This progressive five-week programme will support women who would like to improve their cycling confidence and competence in a welcoming\, supportive and social environment. \n\n\n\n\nTuesdays\n\n\n\n5 sessions\n\n\n\nJuly 30\, August 6\, 13\, 20\, 27\n\n\n\n6.30pm start time\n\n\n\nCost €20\n\n\n\nWomen aged 18+ only\n\n\n\nMust have own roadworthy bike and helmet\n\n\n\nMeeting point is Old Rail Trail Greenway car park adjacent Trend Technologies Mullingar (https://maps.app.goo.gl/u5cqaTnGkg9ajpH47).\n\n\n\nInitial cycles will take place on greenway (flat and road traffic free!) with ride leaders assisting participants for safety checks on their bikes. \n\n\n\nSession 1 will be a cycle to Ballinea for a refreshment stop with the following sessions being adapted to suit participants fitness levels and weather conditions\, etc.\n\n\n\n\nParticipants of this Women on Wheels course can avail of discounted Cycling Ireland Leisure Membership upon completion of the course!

DESCRIPTION:THIS CLASS HAS NOW FINISHED \n\n\n\nThe initial sessions of this programme will take place along the Old Rail Trail Greenway\, with the meeting point at Old Rail Trail Car Park. Some subsequent sessions may take place in Mullingar Town Park but this will be confirmed in advance with the tutor. \n\n\n\nThis programme is aimed at adults aged 50+ who are looking to get outdoors and improve or maintain their fitness and health in a welcoming\, social and supportive environment. \n\n\n\nThe sessions will involve light\, gentle walking along the greenway with the activator poles and incorporate some strength and balance exercises. \n\n\n\nAll sessions will be led by qualified\, experienced and supportive exercise professionals. Please ensure you wear comfortable clothing and shoes and bring a drink. \n\n\n\nAll programme details will remain the same unless notified by the Westmeath Sports Partnership or the programme tutor. \n\n\n\n* Note: As spaces are limited please only register if you are confident you can make the majority of the sessions.
