DESCRIPTION:Westmeath Sports Partnership has organised a localised and subsidised one-day teacher training course in Athlone in association with Orienteering Ireland which we hope may be of interest to some of your school’s staff.  \n\n\n\nThe ‘Ready To Go Orienteering’ teacher training course aims to promote the fun and exciting activity of orienteering and enable attendees to deliver orienteering with support of activity packs and resource materials within their own schools\, service or organisation.  \n\n\n\nLocationAthlone Regional Sports Centre (N37W3W0)DateWednesday 29th January 2025Time10am – 3pm (including break for lunch)CostFREE for attendees from DEIS school\, all-girls school\, special school or disability service€40 per attendee from any other school or organisation (usually well over €100 pp if done directly with Orienteering Ireland)What’s IncludedEach attendee will receive certification while each school/organisation will receive an equipment pack (flags\, punches\, answer cards) and support resources (games/activities booklet) Register REGISTER for ATHLONE\n\n\n\n\nMaximum of 2 attendees per school/service/organisation to ensure fair spread (unless otherwise agreed).\n\n\n\nMajority of course to be completed outdoors so appropriate clothing and footwear is advised.\n\n\n\nSubsequent mapping of school/facility is available for an additional but significantly discounted cost.\n\n\n\nUnfortunately\, we cannot provide teacher cover\, apologies.\n\n\n\nFurther details available at https://www.orienteering.ie/readytogo/
