DESCRIPTION:This is a subsidised exercise programme based in Raharney to support attendees improve their fitness by aiming to progressively cover more distance each week. Join Mullingar Handball Club for a free handball taster session designed specifically for women aged 18 and over as part of Women In Sport Week!  \n\n\n\nWhether you’re a complete beginner or just curious\, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the thrill of handball in a relaxed and welcoming environment. \n\n\n\nWhat to Expect: \n\n\n\n\nDrop-in Flexibility: Pop in anytime during the session and try it out for 10 minutes\, or stay for the full session – it’s entirely up to you!\n\n\n\nSimultaneous “Mothers & Others” Fun: The club will be running their popular “Mothers & Others” program alongside the taster session. This means you’ll be joining a vibrant community of women enjoying the sport.\n\n\n\nExpert Guidance: The taster sessions will be led by five enthusiastic coaches who were once beginners themselves! These incredible women\, who started with the “Mothers & Others” program last year\, have now qualified as coaches thanks to club support funding in 2024. They’re excited to share their passion for handball with you.\n\n\n\nRelaxed & Social Atmosphere: Expect a friendly and supportive environment where you can learn\, laugh\, and connect with other women.\n\n\n\nRefreshments & Chats: Enjoy refreshments and casual chats in the kitchen\, making it a perfect social outing.\n\n\n\nOpportunities for Everyone: While the focus is on fun and fitness\, don’t be fooled! The “Mothers & Others” group has seen incredible success. Some members have even competed in the beginner division of the World Championships and recently traveled to London for the Euro 1 Wall Tour.
