Sports Ability Meet n’ Train

Westmeath Sports Partnerships implemented an eight week physical activity programme for disability organisations in the county.  Over the eight week period, a variety of sports and fun activities was implemented.

The Sports Ability Meet & Train Programme provides an opportunity for centres to come together and meet & train with people of similar ability, do some exercise, have fun and most importantly meet new people. This programme promotes social inclusion between disability organisations and centres which will be matched on ability levels.

The Sports Ability Meet &Train Programme incorporated gym, athletics, walking, soccer, dance and orienteering, with orienteering been the biggest success with participants. Westmeath Sports Partnership would like to thank the staff of Lilliput Adventure Centre for facilitating the orienteering.
