Westmeath Sports Partnership is delighted to announce the allocation of €4,500 in funding to three local sports facilities under Phase II & III of the Sports Energy Support Scheme (SESS).
The successful recipients are:
Kilbeggan Tennis and Community Centre
Multyfarnham Community Centre
Milltownpass Community Centre
The SESS was launched in 2022 by the Government to assist sporting organisations facing rising energy costs. This €35 million initiative specifically targets community-owned sports facilities that are not eligible for other government support schemes, such as the Temporary Business Energy Support Scheme (TBESS).
These funds provide much-needed assistance to centres that offer vital indoor and outdoor sporting activities for our communities. The rising energy costs could have threatened the continuation of these offerings, but thanks to the SESS, these facilities can continue providing crucial services without undue financial burden.
Westmeath Sports Partnership remains committed to supporting local sports facilities and initiatives. For further information on available programs and funding opportunities, please visit our website at www.westmeathsports.ie, contact us at info@westmeathsports.ie or call us at 044-9390208.
