Paralympics Ireland and Permanent TSB are delighted to bring to you NextGen!

NextGen is a one-day regional opportunity to discover your paralympic potential through a range of physical challenges and exploring different Paralympic sports.

There is also the opportunity to meet some of your Paralympic heroes and connect with local sports clubs to begin or continue your paralympic journey.

Next Generation of Irish Paralympic stars

NextGen is a regional athlete recruitment campaign with the aim of empowering the next generation of Irish Paralympians to find out more about themselves and what sports they can get involved in.

Special events are running four days through May and June across all four provinces, days, and dates below:

**Sunday, May 14th, Kingfisher Sport Centre, University of Galway

**Sunday, May 28th, MTU Arena, Munster Technological University, Bishopstown, Cork

**Saturday, June 10th, Lisburn Racquets Club, Belfast Road, Lisburn

**Saturday, June 24th, National Indoor Arena, Irish Sports Campus, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Each day will have four components to it:

1: Physical challenges that athletes can test themselves across different movements such as speed, agility, and power.  (Seen in the video on website)

2: Come and try sports including Boccia, Para Badminton and Para Table Tennis

3: Information stands – National governing bodies and Clubs that are currently active in that province will have information stands to signpost athletes about how to get involved with their sport.

4: Paralympics Ambassadors – An opportunity to meet a range of current and former Paralympians.

Each athlete will be given a two-hour timeslot throughout the day to attend selected venues. Specific details will be provided for each venue. After your time slot for the physical challenges, you can spend the next hour speaking to representatives from different sports and engaging in the sports demonstrations.
