Under the Community Sports and Sports Inclusion Development Programmes, facilitated by Westmeath Sports Partnership, the Sports Partnership is pleased to announce a course suitable to teachers, service provider staff, youth workers and coaches to attend.

Introduction to Olympic Handball

Irish Olympic Handball Association are delivering a LO Coaching Course for teachers, service provider staff, youth workers and coaches.

A starter pack will be provided to each school/organisation that completes the course.

Please note this course is made up of practical and theory elements comprising of:

***Theory Elements (3 hours): History of the sport, variants of handball, rules of the game, etc.***

***Practical Elements (3 hours): Technique – pass, reception, jumping, shooting, steps, introduction games (please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear)

Course Information

Date: Monday 27th March.

Time: 9am to 3.30pm (please bring a packed lunch).

Venue: Clonkill GAA Club.

Cost: Free to attend.

Registration Details: Places allocated on first come basis on completion of registration via Eventbrite, maximum of two participants per school/organisation.
