Life Style Sports Run in the Dark, Wednesday November 11th, 8pm.

Unbroken by blindness in 1998, Mark Pollock suffered a catastrophic spinal cord injury in 2010 that left him paralysed.

As Mark strives to walk again, his most complex journey is ahead of him – to find a cure for spinal cord injuries for him and the millions of paralysed people around the world.

The Life Style Sports Run in the Dark plays a vital role in funding The Mark Pollock Trust’s mission to find and connect people across the globe to fast-track a cure for paralysis.

Now in its fifth year, the Life Style Sports Run in the Dark, is a unique 50 location event bringing people of all ages and abilities together to see the cities of Dublin, Cork, London, Manchester and Belfast in a different light. This year these official events will be joined by 45 pop up events from Sydney to San Francisco, run by our incredible volunteers, helping to fast track a cure for paralysis through the Mark Pollock Trust.

This year will see Athlone Community College join the global movement through champion Leo Smith.

If you would like to join 25,000 runners at the start line at 8pm on Wednesday November 11th simply visit http://www.runinthedark.org/athlone-community-college  for more information and to register for your place in the event.
