This Bank Holiday Saturday 2nd June, the recently formed Kilbeggan Soccer Club will host its first schools boys and girls soccer training session. The training will be held in the football pitch at the Convent of Mercy Secondary School, Dublin Road, and Kilbeggan and will run from 9.30 am to noon. We would like welcome children of all ages to this event. One of the aims of Kilbeggan Soccer Club is to develop a happy and safe environment where boys and girls of all ages can play soccer.
The event will be launched by FAI & Westmeath County Council Football Development Officer, Paul Osam. Paul holds a UEFA A coaching licence and remains one of the most decorated players to have graced the League of Ireland, winning five league championships and 2 league cups in an illustrious career which saw him named as both PFAI and Irish Soccer Writers Player of the Year in 1999.
The club would like to welcome Parents and Families of all ages from Kilbeggan and surrounding villages to the first training session. Admission is free on the day.
