Westmeath Sports Partnership will host an information session on the 2012 Sports Capital Programme on Wednesday, April 11th at 7pm in the Old Westmeath County Council Building, Mullingar. All those wishing to make application under the 2012 scheme are encouraged to attend this important workshop.

A new €30 million fund for important sports capital projects has been launched by Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Michael Ring TD. This is the first round of sports capital funding for four years and is the main channel of Government support for developing sports facilities and purchasing sports equipment for sports clubs and organisations across Ireland.
Applications are now being sought from sports organisations, clubs, community groups, schools, VECs, National Governing Bodies of Sport and local authorities for the development of sports facilities and/or the purchase of sports equipment. Special priority will be given to the development of facilities in disadvantaged areas.
