Walking numbers on the increase in Westmeath

Over the last five weeks 505 people have participated in FREE walks hosted by Belvedere House, Gardens and Park in conjunction with Westmeath Sports Partnership.

On average 100 people gathered every Saturday morning for their weekly walk, choosing their own distance and pace while enjoying the surroundings of Belvedere.

Due to the large show of interest following the successful Operation Transformation walk held in January, Westmeath Sports Partnership is now offering a Saturday Walking Group membership for the small fee of €20.

Currently there are over 50 members who will now enjoy a walk in Belvedere every Saturday morning for a year.
